Buzz Cafe

With a busy schedule as a real estate professional and a dad of 5, I find myself eating out more often than I would probably like to admit.

Finding a good or interesting meal without having to travel too far or wait too long for service can become a challenge.

THAT CHALLENGE WAS MEET THIS WEEK!!!    There is a definite "BUZZ" with new customers flocking to the soft opening of "The Buzz Cafe" located at 5621 6th Ave, Kenosha.  Located downtown next to (and not so ironically under the same ownership of) Sazzy "B" the Buzz did not disappoint.

Owner Paul Campagna has done it again with a GREAT establishment and an energetic and friendly  team:

Of course given the name, Coffee is the main staple of the morning.  With a selection of brewed coffee, espresso and latte's the baristas seem to have a handle on your morning brew.

In the last THREE days, I've had THREE meals with the folks at "The Buzz" .   The Blue Buffalo Panini, the Gouda Mornin' breakfast panini and the "Great Pearing" which had turkey, bacon, brie cheese and a slice of pear.

All three exceeded my expectations and my palate was flooded with combinations of flavors that I never dreamed would go well together.  The Gouda Mornin' had a spicy cabbage that vaguely reminded me of a fresher variation of the spicy Korean kimchi I so enjoyed back in my Air Force days.

The Great Pearing was totally the right mix of sweet and salty with the bacon and pear flavors enveloping the turkey and brie cheese, and the Blue Buffalo was as good a sandwich as you would expect from a place specializing in Buffalo chicken wings and the like.

With over 20 craft beers on tap, and dozens more bottled micro brews in the cooler this is a beer connoisseur's paradise.  They also have a great selection of fine wines by the bottle and single malt scotch whiskeys.

On my first visit, I went with a Stillwater Tallgrass 16Bit D-IPA.   Nice, refreshing and not so heavy that I didn't want to go back to work.  I can't wait to return with my wife to sample a few more beers.

Based on the foot traffic I have seen going through here, and the quality of the food, service and atmosphere,  it seems like "The Buzz" will be buzzing with customers for the foreseeable future.

When you go for the first time... be sure to tell them...
